Uno

Uno shocked the canine world in 2007 when he won the Best in Show
prize at the Westminster Kennel Club Dog show.  The event  which
originated in 1877,  features more than 150 breeds and about 2,500
dogs. Uno's victory marked the first time a Beagle had won the award in
132 years.  Uno's win was greeted with such fanfare, that he was
featured as a top story in the national news.

According to an Associated Press article, the nation’s new top dog was
clearly the fan favorite, and drew a roaring, standing ovation from the
sold-out crowd at Madison Square Garden when he was picked.  With
fans calling out his name and clapping, he soaked in the cheers as he
paraded around the ring, the cheers becoming more thunderous with
every step. And when he made his final stop in front of Jones, Uno went
to town, baying over and over.

Snoopy

Made famous by the long-running Peanuts comic strip, Snoopy made
his debut on October 4, 1950.  Created by George Schulz, Snoopy
became a household name as the comic strip and Peanuts TV specials
and films were greeted with great fanfare.

While most of Snoopy's interaction has been with Charlie Brown and
the Peanuts gang, his alter-ego has taken him beyond the playground.
Most notable was Snoopy's aerial dogfights with German World War
One Ace, the Red Baron.

Snoopy has appeared on U.S. Postage Stamps, nose art for U.S.
fighting aircraft and he is the mascot for the U.S. Air Force Technical
Control.  NASA has a special Snoopy award presented to someone in
the space program for excellence.

Snoopy is also commonly seen at sporting events.  Snoopy One and
Snoopy Two are airships operated by Met Life that hover over sporting
events.
Underdog

This cartooned Beagle super-hero character first emerged in 1964 as
an NBC TV Show.  In his daily life, Underdog was a meek shoeshine
boy, but when villains such as Simon Bar Sinster would menace
society, Underdog was quick to the resuce.  Underdog TV shows were
produced through 1973

Underdog, the movie, was released in 2007 by Disney Pictures.  It
featured many of the same characters from the TV series.
Shiloh

From Imbd.com: this 1997 movie (based on the Shiloh novel) is about
an abused beagle runs away from his owner. On the road, he meets
young Marty Preston and follows him home. The boy immediately forms
a bond with the dog and names him Shiloh. His stern father won't let
him keep the dog because it belongs to Judd Travers, a local hunter.
After Shiloh is mistreated again, he runs away and returns to Marty.
Knowing his father will once again make him bring Shiloh back to Judd,
he makes a home for the dog in an old shed up the hill from the
Prestons' house and hides him from his family. His secret is soon
discovered when a stray attacks the dog one night and he must turn to
his father for help
