Uno
Uno shocked the canine world in 2007 when he won the Best in Show prize at the Westminster Kennel Club Dog show. The event which originated in 1877, features more than 150 breeds and about 2,500 dogs. Uno's victory marked the first time a Beagle had won the award in 132 years. Uno's win was greeted with such fanfare, that he was featured as a top story in the national news.
According to an Associated Press article, the nation’s new top dog was clearly the fan favorite, and drew a roaring, standing ovation from the sold-out crowd at Madison Square Garden when he was picked. With fans calling out his name and clapping, he soaked in the cheers as he paraded around the ring, the cheers becoming more thunderous with every step. And when he made his final stop in front of Jones, Uno went to town, baying over and over.

Snoopy
Made famous by the long-running Peanuts comic strip, Snoopy made his debut on October 4, 1950. Created by George Schulz, Snoopy became a household name as the comic strip and Peanuts TV specials and films were greeted with great fanfare.
While most of Snoopy's interaction has been with Charlie Brown and the Peanuts gang, his alter-ego has taken him beyond the playground. Most notable was Snoopy's aerial dogfights with German World War One Ace, the Red Baron.
Snoopy has appeared on U.S. Postage Stamps, nose art for U.S. fighting aircraft and he is the mascot for the U.S. Air Force Technical Control. NASA has a special Snoopy award presented to someone in the space program for excellence.
Snoopy is also commonly seen at sporting events. Snoopy One and Snoopy Two are airships operated by Met Life that hover over sporting events.

Underdog
This cartooned Beagle super-hero character first emerged in 1964 as an NBC TV Show. In his daily life, Underdog was a meek shoeshine boy, but when villains such as Simon Bar Sinster would menace society, Underdog was quick to the resuce. Underdog TV shows were produced through 1973
Underdog, the movie, was released in 2007 by Disney Pictures. It featured many of the same characters from the TV series.

Shiloh
From Imbd.com: this 1997 movie (based on the Shiloh novel) is about an abused beagle runs away from his owner. On the road, he meets young Marty Preston and follows him home. The boy immediately forms a bond with the dog and names him Shiloh. His stern father won't let him keep the dog because it belongs to Judd Travers, a local hunter. After Shiloh is mistreated again, he runs away and returns to Marty. Knowing his father will once again make him bring Shiloh back to Judd, he makes a home for the dog in an old shed up the hill from the Prestons' house and hides him from his family. His secret is soon discovered when a stray attacks the dog one night and he must turn to his father for help
